Again for the meat lovers, Tripas à Moda do Porto are a specialty. If you like beans, sausages, casings and different types of meat, you can’t miss this dish. According to the legend, this dish appeared in the period of discoveries when Prince Henry (Infante D.Henrique) asked the inhabitants of Oporto to gather all sorts of food. The population was left only with the offal and tripe. So this dish appeared. That’s why the habitants of Oporto are called Tripeiros!
